After the success of Community Rail Lancashire’s amazing compilation of railway stories from women around the world, we are pleased to be in the process of creating 100 More Women, 100 More Journeys. Women around the country are encouraged to submit stories about their memorable rail journeys. The previous compilation included stories of meeting friends and partners on the train as well as first time journeys and stories from women who work within the rail industry. It was a great opportunity to partner with Women’s Aid and raise awareness of the wonderful work the charity does for women across the country. Many women were not able to share their anecdotes last time so have the opportunity to do so this time.
The deadline for submission is 15th December 2023 so get your funny, sad, quirky stories to us via the website as soon as you can and see your story in print for everyone to read. These stories can be an inspiration for women thinking about joining the railway family and can be a much needed encouragement for women who would like to travel more by train.
