We are delighted to have been invited to Community Rail Network’s parliamentary reception at the Palace of Westminster on Monday (7 July). Nearly 200 members, MPs, rail industry partners and third-sector supporters from across England, Scotland and Wales (and the Netherlands!) joined us for a celebration of all things community rail, showcasing the valuable work delivered all year round by community rail.
The reception was hosted by Helena Dollimore, MP for Hastings, Rye and the villages, and a key speaker was Rail Minister Lord Hendy, who is a passionate supporter of the Community Rail movement. The reception was attended by Richard Watts and Tony Ford on behalf of CRL and Shahiesta Raja and Catherine Kingdom in their capacity as CRN board members. It was a great celebration of community rail and a wonderful way to catch up with the many members, partners and supporters of Community Rail Network who travelled far and wide to be part of this memorable day.
