Catherine and Karen from Community Rail Lancashire supported Network Rail at their stand at the Great Yorkshire Show last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The team was joined by staff from various rail operators, Network Rail, and the British Transport Police. Throughout the event, the team engaged with visitors to raise awareness about railway dangers, distributed informative leaflets and rail safety books, and conducted quizzes to test and improve knowledge. The British Transport Police also brought along a police car, which was a popular attraction for both children and adults, adding an interactive and educational element to their presentation. The presence of the police car provided a unique opportunity for visitors to learn about railway safety from a different perspective.
