Caroline, Catherine, Karen and Shahiesta attended a Mental Health First Aid Course this week. They are now all qualified Mental Health First Aiders.

The two day course was delivered by Helen Hogg at Bradford University. During the course the ladies learnt about strategies to look after their own mental health and wellbeing. They were also given the knowledge and confidence to support staff mental wellbeing, for example by talking to colleagues who may be struggling with mental health. The course also gave the learners information about different types of mental health support which is available.
