On Thursday 12th September, Karen and Dave from the team attended the National Rail Awards in London. Dave was shortlisted for ‘Outstanding Personal Contribution – (Frontline)’ for his work on Avanti’s Feel Good Field Trips programme.

Sadly, Dave did not win however it was an incredible achievement to be shortlisted amongst a group of inspiring frontline workers – including those who have saved people’s lives.

The evening was hosted by DIY SOS star Nick Knowles who is also a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing this year! Karen and Dave spoke to Nick about international train travel and had their photograph taken with him too.
