Year 5 pupils from St Ethelbert’s School in Bolton enjoyed a day at the Eco Station last Friday.

Dave met the group at Bolton station to deliver a rail safety session before taking them on a Northern train to Accrington via Blackburn. For 7 students this was their first experience travelling by train.

Once at the Eco Station the students had sessions on rail safety, careers (dressing up), Rail 200 and what makes Accrington an Eco station.

They also enjoyed the sunshine whilst eating our lunch in the eco garden. A brilliant day for all. 🚄☀
