Looking for something to do this Saturday? We’ve got you covered! You need to head over on the train to Preston.
Last weekend, The Harris Open 2026 was launched at The Harris Museum and Art Gallery in Preston. The exhibition is a free to enter arts exhibition for anyone in a 5 mile radius of Preston, showcasing their art work and celebrating local talent.
It’s free to visit and if you are from the area, you can even submit your own work whilst you are there! All art is accepted, so whether that be collage, fashion, photography, comic books, films or tapestry, there will be a huge range of entries to enjoy.
The Harris is around a 10 minute, mostly flat walk from Preston Station. So why not hop on a train this Saturday to visit? Whilst you are there, you may as well enjoy Preston’s Makers Market held on Friargate too. It is just a short walk from The Harris. There you will find a whole host of other creative delights, with live music, free children’s crafting stations and some tasty treats to go home with.
