It has been a busy week for the TrainEd team!

On Tuesday Dave took 20 primary school students from Runcorn on an Avanti train to Liverpool Lime Street then a Merseyrail train to James Street. The group then had a guided tour to the top of the Royal Liver Buildings for spectacular views across the city. We then had a 50 minute cruise on the Mersey Ferry. Dave then gave the group a guided tour of the city using his local knowledge on the way back to Lime Street Station.

On Wednesday 30 pupils from Finham Park 2 had an early start as they travelled from Coventry to London to take part in a workshop at Sky Academy. This Feel Good Field Trip gave pupils the chance to see behind the scenes at Sky and use cutting edge digital technology to create their own news report. After all their hard work the pupils had lunch at Hard Rock cafe before heading back to London Euston for their return train home.

On the same day Dave took 30 pupils from Abraham Moss school in Manchester to Gladstone Pottery. The group travelled on an Avanti train from Manchester Piccadilly to Stoke-on-Trent then a short coach journey (Stantons of Stoke) to the pottery museum. Pupils had a tour of the museum and had a go at creating their own Art Deco painting on a plate to bring home with them.

Caroline organised a great family fun day at Clitheroe Castle. You can read more about it here: https://trained.website/all-aboard-family-fun-day-at-clitheroe-castle-museum/

Last Saturday a cub group from Walton-le-Dale had a trip on a Northern train from Preston to Accrington for a rail safety session and a talk from the British Transport Police. The cubs all achieved their personal safety badge.
