With these facts in mind, TrainEd are now offering a workshop for young people incorporating the use of an app to help calculate whether purchasing a car at 17 is the best idea – or maybe it might be worth waiting a couple of years.

Workshops can be delivered to suit the needs of the school

• During tutor time, in PSHE lessons, or an off-timetable basis
• Facilitator will bring along Samsung Tablets with the app installed so no school hardware required
• Sessions can be based in one room in school during the day or facilitator can move around school to different rooms
• Sessions include an introduction, a chance to find out how much money they would save on the journeys they’d make using the app on the tablets, debating whether sample characters should get a car… or nah and giving final feedback on whether the session has changed their mind about getting a car at 17
